Welcome to More Than A Brand! I’m here to help entrepreneurs in the DEI space demystify the process behind what a brand really is.During my military career, I have run into a lot of misogyny and inequity, among other things. I was told that higher ranking women go into admin because they get fat, pregnant, and less competitive. EXCUSE ME. I proved him wrong, by the way.If those things are happening in the military, they’re definitely happening in the civilian sector too. That’s why it’s my mission to help DEI coaches and consultants rebrand so that they can show up as their most authentic selves in corporate spaces that don’t have a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.Hit me up on IG at fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindsay-tramel-jones-brand-identity-designer/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production

Selling from social media is great and all, but remember what happened when FB and IG shut down? What are you going to do when/if that happens again? What happens if social media shuts down entirely and you lose all of your contacts, brand copy, sales conversations, and online presence? You need to own a piece of the internet. You need the data that a website can give you and the legitimacy that a well-designed website provides when potential clients look you up. And they will look you up. The corporations that you’re pitching to want to be able to see how you handle yourself in the online space and they expect professionalism. They want to verify who you are and what you do. You need a website, and it needs to continuously improve in the same way that your brand and client journey do. You need that 24/7 employee to work for you, not against you!Hit me up on IG at fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindsay-tramel-jones-brand-identity-designer/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
We’re here to help you in the DEI spaces to show up authentically at these corporations so that you are able to fight for the rights of others to be able to show up as themselves. That’s why we’ve developed the Bonafide Framework. In Phase 1, we Remove The Façade. We solidify your brand and your values and do competitor research to find where you can stand out. We dig into your target audience because if you’re selling to everybody, you’re selling to nobody. In Phase 2, we Work The Crowd. We create the visuals that get the crowd worked up as they’re standing on your website, on your social media, on your pamphlets. When people like what they see, they’ll be enticed. In Phase 3, Curb Appeal, we build the website and pull it all together. We create the curb appeal so people are willing to knock on your door to get your help. We’re here to help you step into those corporate spaces by building a brand that’s more than a brand. It encompasses everything you stand for, everything you’ve built your business on, and your goals.Choosing not to fix your brand is choosing not to be there to help those people that need it by changing the culture in those corporate spaces.Hit me up on IG at fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindsay-tramel-jones-brand-identity-designer/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
By the year 2044, groups now seen as the minority will be seen as the majority. Why shouldn’t they have the opportunity to be successful now?Businesses have to have some sort of DEI statement in place. If your brand isn’t ready for you to step up and help them, you’re doing yourself, and everyone else, a disservice. Sticking with your DIY brand is costing you time, money, and the opportunity to be effective in these corporate spaces. The work we do is bigger than us and it’s bigger than a brand. You have to be bold because you’re going to be stepping into spaces where most people probably don’t look like you and they don’t understand the importance of why you’re there. You can’t do your work halfway. It’s time to step into the big leagues and start treating your business with respect it deserves and transform it into the powerhouse that you are destined to be.Hit me up on IG at Fierceified.agency For more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindsay-tramel-jones-brand-identity-designer/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production

How do you know when to update your website or when to trash the whole thing? This question comes up a lot and that’s why so many websites are left without updates for way too long. How long has it been since you truly updated your website so that it shows only your current offerings and provides a reliable way to contact you? Here are some signs you should just burn it all down and build your website back up from scratch:You don’t know how to do anything with it. Do you know how to change a font without breaking the whole site? Can you change your opt-in to connect to a new email server?Your website doesn’t represent who your business is anymore. If the colors, fonts, and copy don’t match your business, are you going to attract the right people? You have website shame. You’re just handing out your IG to potential clients with no mention of your website. Not all websites need a complete rebuild. There are pros and cons either way. Check your data and see what’s working first. If you don’t know how to read it, find someone who does. Once you know what’s working and what’s not, then find someone to help make the changes in a way that you can keep updated.Connect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
Have you been to YouTube University and Google College trying to figure out what to do with your website? Not very helpful, is it? Before you do something you want to do, there are some things you need to have in place first. In this episode, I’m like your Hello Fresh for websites. I am going to give you all the ingredients you need to get it done. You need a brand. Your voice, who you’re selling to, what you’re selling, your strategy, and your visual identity - your website designer won’t build them both at the same time. The brand builds the website, not the other way around. Having this will boost your credibility. You need to have a domain. Whenever you have a great idea for a domain or a program name, just go buy it even if you don’t have anything to build on it yet. This is a start to helping you solidify your brand and start building your brand consistency. You need hosting - a place to build your website. My favorite that Fierceified Agency uses for clients is Flywheel, but there are several.Take the time to find a copywriter. You need a wordsmith to make sure that you’re saying what you really want to say. If you bought a template, great. But, at some point, you’re going to outgrow that template and you will still need your site to take people from cold to sold. Your website is a 24/7 employee and a free little Canva site isn’t gonna cut it now that you’re doing business for real. You deserve better.Connect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
Back in the day, Myspace had us all learning coding to customize our pages so when Wordpress came around, we moved those skills over there. But, websites do need to be updated regularly and there are some common pitfalls that entrepreneurs come across.Avoid custom coding! I don’t recommend buying a custom coded website because you probably won’t have the skills to update the code yourself. I usually recommend that you buy a template, but be aware that there may still be custom code involved, and that’s why they offer ongoing maintenance packages so you don’t mess with the code yourself. Even if all you want to do is move a button to a different place on the same page, messing with the custom code in the wrong way can break your whole website. Get some professional brand photos done. There’s a time and place for a selfie, but your website ain’t it. Professional photos help you boost the credibility of your website.Make sure your site really represents you and your brand if you want to build trust. Don't be a shell of yourself you want your site to build trust and credibility with your audience. At Fierceified Agency we use the Elementor Pro plugin to build our websites and it’s easy for you to take over yourself if you decide not to use us for maintenance. It’s better to start over than to keep a website that doesn’t represent you.Connect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
Many times in life and in our businesses, where we start is not where we end up. A tool (or website) that was good enough to get started isn’t going to cut it when your business needs to level up. When it’s time to level up and be the DEI consultant that you’re destined to be, that Wix or Adobe Spark site you started with isn’t enough. In this episode I’ll go over some of the ways that WordPress is the next level that your website needs.Wordpress integrates with almost everything. Most business tools have a WordPress integration tool or plugin. You can get as technical as you want to. You can use custom coding if you want to, or not.You have the ability to expand, create private pages or password protected pages, the possibilities are endless.Blogging is one of the #1 ways to improve SEO on your website and create content that belongs to you. Content you create on social media may not necessarily belong to you.WordPress has been around since 2003 so they’ve learned how to evolve as the internet evolves. Your first website taught you the basics, but now it’s time to pave the way for other DEI consultants and marginalized populations to create lasting change.Connect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
I was watching Too Hot to Handle on Netflix recently when it hit me. The contestants on that show didn’t know what they were in for when they signed on and they had to learn totally different rules than they were expecting. People who jump into WordPress can feel the same way. When jumping in to move your website from a builder like Wix, Kajabi, or ShowIt, do you really know what you’re getting into? Wordpress was designed to be a CMS - a client management system. Kajabi and other site builders like it were designed to be LMS - learning management systems. They don’t serve the same function, they’re not built the same, and they don’t have the same capabilities. What do you really need to figure out before you dive into WordPress? In this episode I’ll outline a few things that you need to consider when getting started with WP.Connect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
Would you buy a house that’s too small because it’s more convenient, and run the risk of outgrowing the house and having to move again? Not a great idea, right? Wordpress is that home you can grow into. It’s like that unfinished basement that you can fix up to be whatever you need it to be.Wordpress is so robust that it can be intimidating. I get it. When you’re building your website, don’t just build it for where you are right now. Set up the foundation for where you want your business to be, what you want it to be capable of, even if you don’t build everything right off the bat. Hopping from platform to platform will hurt your SEO and your Google ranking. When choosing your platform, choose wisely. Choose something that will be able to give you what you need down the road, not just what works for right now.Connect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
We’ve talked a lot about choosing Wordpress over other platforms, but something else you’ll need to decide is where to host your website. Unlike Squarespace or Kajabi, your Wordpress site can be hosted in many different places and you’ll have to choose which one you’ll use.In this episode, we’ll talk about what to consider when choosing your hosting provider. Some factors include:PricingBandwidthMemoryBackupsTraffic capacitySecurity measures Your clients and potential clients don’t have time for 404 errors. It’s not about planning for the business you are today, it’s about planning for the business that you see in the future.Connect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
Disclaimer: I love Canva. I really do. They’ve been adding tons of new exciting features, and I’m here for it. But, if you’re looking to walk into these corporate spaces, you’re going to need a website that’s a lot more powerful than the landing page you can build on Canva.Listen in for more about why that easy little page isn’t good enough for:SEOMultiple page capabilityPowerful functions that you need to be taken seriously with corporate clients Now, if you just need a quick landing page, do it. I asked this question recently and I got a lot of the same answer: It’s not user friendly. I get it - it’s not the easiest to navigate and you do need to keep up on the updates - but, your website isn’t about YOU. The front end of your website needs to be doing the work to bring in people that need you in their organization. The most important user for your website is your visitor. What do you need your website to do? What’s the experience for the real user (not you)? How’s your website supposed to support the business you plan to have?Is the platform you’re looking at able to give your visitors the best experience possible? Your website is about the end user, not necessarily what’s going on in the back end.To learn more about elevating your brand, read our blog at http://blog.morethanabrand.coConnect on IG @fierceified.agencyFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production
This episode emphasizes the importance of having a well-designed website that aligns with one's brand and goals. A well designed site will boost your conversion rates. However, not everyone has the skills or expertise in web design, and that's perfectly okay. You should hire a designer if you are ready to elevate your website.Even though platforms like WordPress can be user-friendly with the right plugins, if web design is not in someone's zone of genius, it may still be overwhelming and frustrating. If you feel overwhelmed or dissatisfied with their website should consider hiring a professional web designer. Drawing from her own experience of hiring a team for her podcast, she emphasizes that DIY (Do-It-Yourself) can only take someone so far. By enlisting the help of a professional, individuals can take their website to the next level and focus their time and energy on more important aspects of their business. To learn more about elevating your brand, read our blog at http://blog.morethanabrand.coFor more tips, connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/fierceified-creative-consulting/Learn more about Fierceified Creative and Consulting at https://fierceified.agency/Music credit: Trust The Vibes by Vincent ToneA Podcast Launch Bestie production

Dear Younger Me is a podcast for the questioners, the ones who are trying to find their way in the in between: in between youth and adulthood, college and whatever lies ahead, and in between faith shifts. Narrated by Osheta Moore, she reflects on journal entries she wrote from her 20’s and early 30’s, a time so full of angst and questions. Osheta now thinks about how she would go back and talk with her younger self. What would she say? What kind of advice would she give? Wherever you find yourself, maybe you can learn from these conversations and make you say to yourself, “Dear Younger Me…”
